Inside Kyle Walker’s relationship with Lauryn Goodman – secret kids, odd encounters and WAG drama

Kyle Walker certainly won’t be short of Father’s Day gifts next year.

The Manchester City full-back and his wife Annie Kilner welcomed their fourth child in April, with the couple already sharing Roman, 11, Riaan, 7 and Reign, 5. But the 34-year-old also has two children from outside his marriage, with on-off mistress and TV personality Lauryn Goodman, who have been the subject of a legal battle at the High Court this week.

“When we started going out it was love at first sight,” said Annie on the beginning of her relationship with Walker as childhood sweethearts during their teenage years. However, the ensuing decade and a half has been quite the rollercoaster for Walker and Annie, who tied the knot back in 2022.

Walker had been accused of cheating in the past, like back in April 2019 when he and Annie split up after Ex On The Beach star Laura Brown said she and Walker romped in the back of his car. And it was during this split that he and Lauryn – who also appeared on the show – had a fling together, which resulted in her getting pregnant, which left Annie branding the footballer’s actions as ‘obscene’.

“In late March last year he was unfaithful with a reality TV star,” Annie told The Sun in June 2020. “I found out a month later and was broken by it. He begged me to take him back but by July he was at it again. Not even three months later and someone was pregnant. My youngest was one. Who does that? I don’t know what my thoughts or feelings are any more. I feel dead inside.” Lauryn would go on to give birth to son Kairo, while Annie and Walker reconciled, later tying the knot in 2022.

But come August 2023, Lauryn announced she had given birth to another child with a footballer. While she remained tight-lipped about the identity of said footballer, she wasn’t exactly subtle about it, sharing hints on Instagram with the initials ‘KW’. And on Boxing Day 2023, Annie’s worst fears were confirmed over FaceTime when Lauryn showed her a DNA test to prove Walker was the father of her second child, while the defender was getting treatment for an injury in London.

“Kyle was happy hiding the truth because he was having two families and was scared about what would happen when Annie knew but I kept saying to him, ‘Our daughter can’t be a secret, she is a human’,” Lauryn said. “I didn’t want them to split up or cause harm but it had to be out in the open for all of our sakes.”

The news of the second child led to Annie, who was expecting their fourth child at the time, splitting up with Walker once again, with the latter giving an interview to the Sun earlier this year, when he admitted his infidelity.

It was in January 2022 that Walker and Lauryn had re-opened a dialogue, ironically because the former wanted to stop the latter from moving from Brighton to re-locate up north nearer the England international. However, that meeting at Lauryn’s solicitors’ office led to Walker meeting his son Kairo.

And come October 2022, as Walker was preparing to get ready for the World Cup in Qatar, he travelled down to London for groin surgery – and met up with Lauryn for a tryst in the capital.

“It wasn’t intentional or premeditated but I slept with her,” said Walker. “A lot was going on. It’s not an excuse. I’d ruptured my groin, I had a World Cup to get fighting fit for.”

However, while Annie is reportedly ready to give Walker one final chance, she was also forced to face Lauryn at the 2024 European Championships. Lauryn was spotted in Germany supporting the Three Lions with son Kairo, while Annie is said to have told Walker he is to have nothing to do with the influencer.

And it was having to deal with the noise around the Lauryn drama that led to the England WAGs backing her. A source told the Daily Mail: “Annie is surrounded by love from the other WAGS who admire her strength and resilience. The WAGs recently pledged their support amidst the circus involving Lauryn and want Annie to know they have her and Kyle’s back. They’re all a big family no matter what happens between the adults and pitch together to support the young ones amongst them.”

If Walker does want to now make a go of things once again with his childhood sweetheart, he will have to adhere to some ground rules and non-negotiables set by Annie, who has made it clear she would never forgive the defender if he cheats again.
