Box Office: All-Time Blockbuster ‘Stree 2’ Creates A Day-Wise Record
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 is on a record-breaking run at the box office. The horror-comedy is about to become the biggest single-language grosser at the Indian box office by beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
As Stree 2 is set to become the biggest grosser in India, it has created a new record of scoring 1+ crore net collection for 42 consecutive days. It has leapfrogged Vicky Kaushal’s URI: The Surgical Strike which minted 1+ crore net for a continuous 41 days.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has been blessed with almost open run to date with very limited non-threatening competition unlike other movies and it has taken full advantage of it by becoming the biggest grosser domestically and setting a record for the consecutive days of 1+ crore net along with many other records.
In 42 days so far, the mega-blockbuster sequel has scored approximately 581.50 crores net (693.50 crores gross) domestically while overseas collection is an estimated 133 crore for the worldwide cume of 826+ crores gross. The movie is expected to finish its run at around 850 crores gross.
