Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 Round-Up: Wild Card Contestants To Vijay Sethupathi’s Big Reveal | Week 4 Highlights

As the old contestant finally found some momentum and opened up in week 4, new wild card entries has yet again changed the equation inside the house.

Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 is finally settling down with contestants opening themselves up to their fellow housemates. More importantly, things are turning a bit more entertaining and less irritating as the feud between the boys and girls has become less petty. This week there were many happening moments including the visit of two Tamil celebrities, Diwali celebrations, wild card entries, and more. Muthukumaran became the captain of the house, who in contrast to his previous weeks, played it a bit mellow and took a back seat this week.

Interesting changes in the house:

Soundarya is becoming an entertaining contestant with her growing rivalry with Sunitha. Their feud was evident throughout the week with how they performed their tasks. However, their hostility towards each other also provided a lot of drama in the house, making up for an entertaining week. Meanwhile, Muthukumaran, who has projected himself as a strong contestant, had a bad week with many mistakes, which was also called out by Vijay Sethupathi in the weekend episode. Muthukumaran tried to assemble the whole team on Saturday to hear feedback about him but when Vishal and Arun attempted to join a bit late, Muthu asked them to leave resulting in a war of words. Muthu’s high-handedness has dented his reputation as a level-headed player.

Task:

Yet again, the Girls’ team won the nomination for free pass tasks. They came out on top in two of three tasks, and this has now become a habit as they have won it all the three weeks so far. After winning the pass they chose to save Sunita from eviction. When asked what was going wrong with the Boys team, Vishal said they are not putting their all when it comes to tasks involving the brain while they go all out with physical tasks.

Thalaivana Thalaiviya task, which elects the captain for the next week, was conducted in advance. RJ Anandhi and Sathya fought for the post and the latter won the physically demanding game and won the captainship for the second time in a row.

Surprise guest:

Last week it was Sivakarthikeyan, who made a surprise visit to the house, and this time actor Kavin, who shot to fame with Bigg Boss Tamil, returned to the house as a guest to promote his Diwali release Bloody Bugger. Kavin, who was a favourite of his Bigg Boss and the fans, yet again found himself as an entertainer. He called Bigg Boss ‘Thala’, and in return, the all-seeing master called him ‘his Kavin’. Kavin jammed with the contestants with a song that he wrote on the spot with the contestants. He left with a parting gift and wished them all the success.

Diwali celebrations and the biggest gift:

Diwali celebrations turned out to be the major highlight of the house as the contestants received letters from their respective homes. Jeffry sobbed uncontrollably while reading the letter from his mom. Almost all the contestants were moved to instant tears while reading the words of their loved ones making up for a bittersweet moment of the season. The contestants also received new clothes as a gift from Vijay Sethupathi, which made the weekend episode all the more special. However, the biggest gift received by the contestant was the announcement that there was no elimination this week due to Diwali.

Wild card entries:

While the no-elimination announcement turned out to be great news to the contestants, the entry of new contestants might not be the same. Actor Shiva Kumar, husband of former Bigg Boss contestant Suja Varunee, was one among the six entries. Model-actor Raanav, Social media influencer Nagapriya aka Riya, actress Varshini Venkat of Kannana Kanne serial fame, TV actor Rayan of Tamizhum Saraswathiyum fame and Manjari Narayanan, another social media influencer were all part of the new entrants. Now, the number of contestants in the house has become 21, which means there will be multiple eliminations down the line… and more importantly, more drama to ensue.
