Boob jobs are going bust as women opt for breast reductions instead

Boob jobs are going bust as soaring numbers of Brit women opt for breast reductions instead.

Procedures to decrease size now make up 40% of all breast operations, up by more than a quarter in three years, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

There’s also been a slump in numbers going under the knife for implants, with ops to boost size dropping 38% since their peak in 2013.

Stars including Kerry Katona, Megan Barton Hanson and Luisa Zissman have had operations to make their assets smaller.

And consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon Lucy Khan reveals women are finally getting to grips with boob issues which may have bothered them for years.

She said: “We’ve seen a significant rise in the number of women approaching us for a breast reduction, and it’s an operation that many of them have put off for a long time.

“Large or heavy breasts can cause back, neck and shoulder pain, among other issues.

“The increase in breast reductions among celebrities suggests comfort is taking precedence over having a larger bust.

“If you’re suffering problems related to large or heavy breasts, talk to an expert and see whether a reduction operation is appropriate for you.”

Love Island’s Megan told how her bigger fake boobs “no longer sat right” while reality favourite Kerry had surgery last year after her implants caused her back pain.

Former Apprentice contestant Luisa had her E cup implants removed in 2018 as she was “sick of having massive boobs”.

Tennis star Simona Halep went from a 34DD to a 34C after feeling her chest size was affecting her game while Modern Family star Ariel Winter reduced her 32F boobs to a 34D.

Elsewhere, a mum loves to post her boobs on OnlyFans as it empowers her.

And, a woman splashed out £60k on surgery and feels sorry for normal people.
