‘Hawk Tuah’ girl is coming to Cleveland this weekend
The “Hawk Tuah” girl’s 15 minutes of fame aren’t up yet. In fact, they’re bringing her to Cleveland this weekend.
Haliey Welch will be making a personal appearance at Welcome to the Farm on Saturday, Aug. 3, hosting a party at the country music bar on the East Bank of the Flats. The event, featuring live music, starts at 7 p.m., according to a social media post.
Welcome to the Farm, which opened in 2022, is a joint venture by country singer Chase Rice and Forward Hospitality Group.
For the uninitiated, Welch became a part of pop culture in June when her provocative response on a man-on-the-street video by Tim & Dee TV went viral on social media.
“You gotta give ‘em that hawk tuah,” she said, in part, in a thick Southern accent. We’ll let you guess the question.
Since then, Welch and her catchphrase have been everywhere: podcasts, talk shows, concerts and merchandise. TMZ reported she recently filed trademarks for a sports betting service and a line of cooking sauces.
