Changing the difficulty isn’t quite simple and much like most of the settings, heading to the in-game console is the quickest way to alter their difficulty. In this article, we will discuss in steps, how to change the difficulty of bots in CS2.

How to change Bot difficulty in CS2?

1. Launch CS: Start the game from your Steam library.
2. Open Console: Press (~) to open the console assuming it’s already enabled.
3. Set Bot Difficulty: Use the following command: “bot_difficulty X” and replace X with a number of your from 0 to 4 in the increasing order of difficulty.
   • 0 for Easy1 for Normal2 for Hard3 for Expert
4. Confirm Changes: Press Enter after typing the command. The console should confirm that the bot difficulty has been changed.
5. Close Console: Press ~ again to close the console.
6. Start or Restart Game: Either start a new game or restart the current game for the changes to take effect.

Now, the bot’s difficulty should be reflected in the game. Make sure to increase the difficulty slowly or you might find yourself biting more than you can chew.
