Flames sign Jarred Tinordi to one-year, two-way contract
The Calgary Flames announced Tuesday they signed defenseman Jarred Tinordi to a one-year, two-way contract.
The first ones to report the news were PuckPedia. The deal will pay Tinordi $800,000 in the NHL, $350,000 in the AHL and $425,000 is guaranteed.
The 32-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, and in 2023-24, he recorded nine assists in 52 regular-season games.
Through nine NHL seasons, the 2010 first-round pick has four goals, 26 assists and 30 points and 234 penalty minutes in 205 regular-season games
Tinordi has also played a good chunk of his professional career in the AHL. Through nine AHL seasons
the 6-foot-6 defender has 21 goals and 75 assists for 96 points and 567 penalty minutes in 429 regular-season games.
In junior, Tinordi spent two seasons with the OHL’s London Knights, where he helped the club win an OHL championship in 2011-12
In 111 regular-season OHL games, Tinordi had three goals and 27 assists for 30 points and 203 penalty minutes.
Before joining the Knights, Tinordi spent three seasons with the U.S. National Team Development Program
