CID Returns after 6 years. Fans rejoice comeback of ACP Pradyuman, Inspector Daya; When and where to watch new season
Actors Shivaji Satam, Daya Shetty and Aditya Srivastava are set to return with CID 2. The makers shared the exciting news with a teaser on Instagram.
After keeping their fans on their toes for a long, the makers of CID announced the second part of the popular show. The official Instagram page of Sony TV shared a video that teased the return of the lead including actors Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava and Daya Shetty.
In the promo, a tense ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam) rushes toward the bomb site. Meanwhile, Abhijeet faces the camera, with the iconic whistle of the show’s theme playing in the background. “Mark your calendars – 26th October ko hoga ek dhamakedar promo drop! (sic)” the caption read.

While fans are celebrating the good news, they thanked the makers for reviving their childhood memories again.
One of the users wrote, “The best best best news ever.. Exutedvery excited… The show, and the og cast is back (sic),” while another wrote, “Finally Goosebumps. We Are Super Duper Excited For CID Season 2 @thedayashetty (sic).” A third user chimed in and wrote, “OMG Thanks Sony TV (sic).”
With the return of the lead, many fans would miss the late actor Dinesh Phadnis, who played Federick on the show. His character added many comedic elements to the otherwise much-serious tone of the show. He died in December 2023.
