Two IndiGo planes operating from Mumbai to Muscat, Jeddah receive bomb threat; security checks underway

In a series of unsettling incidents, multiple flights departing from Mumbai have faced bomb threats, prompting immediate and rigorous security measures. The situation began with an Air India flight, AI119, which was en route from Mumbai to JFK Airport in New York. Following this incident, two IndiGo flights also received bomb threats, further escalating the concerns around airline safety. The first flight, designated 6E 56, was operating from Mumbai to Jeddah. Upon receiving the threat, the aircraft was quickly moved to an isolated bay at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. 

The airline confirmed that mandatory security checks were initiated immediately, in line with established protocols. Passengers were disembarked and assisted, including refreshments, while security authorities conducted thorough investigations of the aircraft and the surrounding area.

Similarly, another IndiGo flight, 6E 1275, bound for Muscat, also received a bomb threat. The aircraft underwent the same safety procedures, ensuring the protection of passengers and crew. IndiGo expressed its regret for the inconvenience caused to its customers and reiterated its commitment to their safety. Following comprehensive security checks, no suspicious items were found on either IndiGo flight, allowing normal operations to resume.
