Songstress Katy Perry turned heads as she arrived at the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles, as she stripped off for her red-carpet look that left fans and fellow artists swooning
Katy Perry has flaunted her figure as she showed off her underwear at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
Perry, 39, was invited to attend the iHeartRadio Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday night (April 1). The show featured iconic performances from the likes of Justin Timberlake, Green Day and Cher.
Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, cleaned up at the awards show, winning a total of six gongs out of the nine categories she was nominated in. Fellow popstar Beyoncé also was awarded the title of “Global Cultural Icon”, following her latest release Cowboy Carter.
A host of huge artists were invited to the event, including songstress Katy. Despite not being nominated for any award and instead there to announce the winner for Song of the Year, Perry arrived on the red carpet and showed off her figure, turning the head of the media and her fellow music stars alike.
For the look, Katy donned a floor-length fishnet mesh gown that draped down her body. The dress was tied together thanks to a series of red bows that been tied to on the sides to keep the frock on her body, whilst also showing a more editorial look.
Katy also flashed her underwear in the transparent dress, wearing a black two-piece and a pair of knee-high black leather boots that helped to perfectly accentuate her figure and her curves. The overall black look complemented Perry’s iconic black locks as she strutted her stuff down the red carpet.
Giving a wavy look, Katy’s hair was given a naturally flowy look as it cascaded down past her shoulders. She also matched her make-up palette with the rest of her ensemble to add a tinge of darkness and mystery to her look.
For her make-up, the Wide Awake singer brought a pop of brightness with her look as she made good use of bronzer, contouring and highlighter along her cheekbones. She also added a touch of blush on her cheeks to give herself a naturally glowy face.
To finish off the ensemble, Perry was given a splash of colour as she donned a silky nude-pink shade of lipstick that brought out the colour in her lips. As she made her way down the red carpet, she was spotted pouting, showing off the pop in her lips, as well as the large fake eyelashes she donned to complete her ensemble.
Her glowing look came after Katy uploaded another clip to her social media platforms. In the clip, Katy could be seen sitting uncomfortably in a chair, struggling to take a red dress off.
Hunched in a chair in her dressing room for American Idol, she sat – clearly unhappy in her look and fumed, “I can’t get this dress off!” One of the judge’s entourage suggested: “Well…we could cut it off?” to which Katy shot back, “You just can’t cut Bottega…”
